Work Closely with Our Vendors

We are committed to working closely with our vendors to ensure that all requirements are met for achieving our goal of a cost-efficient supply chain. Our Inbound Transportation utilizes two different online systems for creating domestic Order Releases into our supply chain: a Custom Vendor Portal (CVP) to communicate Prepaid and Collect shipping details, and C3 Reservations for scheduling delivery appointments at our Distribution Centers across the U.S.

Custom Vendor Portal (CVP)

U.S. Collect and Prepaid Order Release

The Custom Vendor Portal (CVP) is an online platform developed for Family Dollar vendors across North America to submit required shipment details for both Prepaid and Collect freight. CVP enables our transportation associates to collaborate efficiently with vendors to move merchandise from vendor shipping locations to Family Dollar Distribution Centers throughout the United States.


Use of the CVP is mandatory for all vendors shipping Prepaid or Collect freight into our Distribution Centers. Please refer to the links below for step-by-step instructions on obtaining a username and password and for creating an order release within the CVP.

CVP Login

C3 Reservations

C3 Reservations is an online tool used to schedule delivery appointments at each Distribution Center. After an order release is created in the CVP platform (referenced above) and the order is planned by Family Dollar transportation, vendors and/or carriers can schedule delivery appointments by searching for the shipment number (SID) in C3 Reservations. Shipment details are pre-populated to streamline the scheduling process.
